Upgrading an iPhone 3G to iOS4
iOS4 was released for the iPhone today, and I decided to try upgrading while at my desk. My old 3G has been a trusty phone, but it lagged a lot, and would often stagnate in some modes, such as “Updating Library” messages that go for 30 minutes after I do a sync. I figured there won’t be much in iOS4 for the 3G, but some of the processes might be improved.
Things didn’t go as smoothly as I had hoped, but it finally installed and seems to run more tightly and a bit faster, such as in between apps and modes. No multitasking, but on a 3-year old phone CPU, that’s understandable.
Courtney Nielsen makes music.
Before I was a visual and web designer, I was a musician, and still am. Electronic music was (and still is) my first love, and while my frequency of new releases has slowed down a bit, I continue to release music.
I keep it archived on my soundcloud page. Some is streaming, and there are a few downloadable goodies from my earlier lives. Currently, I am interested in chilling out, making music for the sofa or the forest, and I occasionally make some house remixes. I have been going towards traditional learning lately, and have spent the last year in classical piano lessons with a great teacher.
I hope you enjoy my music. Drop me a note if you do.
